About Us
Our Story
MKSSS has a century-long history of dedicated work towards making women educated and self-reliant. It was established in 1896 by Bharat
Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve to provide shelter to destitute women. Later the Samstha diversified its activities in tune with the needs of the society.
The Samstha also provides Education in the field of Engineering,
Architecture, Management, Nursing, Fashion technology, Interior decoration, Computer education, and Law. At present, the Samstha is running 62 branches at Pune, Wai, Satara, Ratnagiri, and Nagpur.
It established schools, teachers training institutes, hostels for students and working women, bakery unit, sewing class, technical and vocational training institutes, etc.
These branches strive to develop women into truly performing citizens. Samstha’s branches in the field of higher and technical education have gained repute at the national and international levels.
